Empire State Building in NYC, the steeple is the feature that made it the tallest building in the world for decades, and brought that distinction back a second time for a brief period after 9/11.  It was also designed to moor passenger carrying blimps, but was never used for that purpose after the Hindenberg disaster brought an end to that form of travel.
